This is the true story of Mrs. Chicken. It was a hot, hot summer day in Arizona. Mrs. Chicken was kicked out of her coop....the victim of new decor.

Mrs. Chicken didn't know what to do or where to go. Finally she decided to put on her hat and....cross the road.
She found herself in a very nice back yard. There was however, a large cat that seemed very interested in her. Mrs. Chicken was concerned because her mother had always told her that cats and birds were a bad mix.

Poor Mrs Chicken! I'm so happy she found a new home.

Love it! I was wondering if you might have some new house guests! : )

Marmalade has a look of tolerance, yes tolerance, and resignation. So funny! (The lamp in the middle of the road is a piece of work as well.)

This was hilarious! I agree with Kathy that the "crossing the road" picture was especially funny, and that I loved the look on Marmalade's face, although my interpretation was a litle different - she seemed to be cautiously checking the newcomer out. When I got the email about the no longer wanted chicken-themed items, I did think of you, mostly because of your chicken hat.
