Some of you may remember the video...well it wasn't really a video but more of an animated cartoon...of the cat trying to wake up its owner. To view go here:

I think my cat saw that video!! This morning I was half awake/asleep and lying on my side when suddenly my cat jumped on me and proceeded to remove my blanket from my face. She then "tapped" me on the cheek several times...about 2 seconds later my alarm clock went off! At least she didn't hit me in the head!!

We used to have a dog that would do that. My Dad would say, "Go wake Liz up." The dog would then come in and lick my face. If I didn't respond she would start barking at me:) Love the cat stories, keep 'em coming...

We have had to shut our cats out of our room at night, because, both hubs and I, at different times, have been "nailed" in the face by one of the cats jumping out of the window above the bed to "wake us up" and tell us it's time for them to go outside. I got it in the eye, which bled and bled, and hubs got two huge scratches across his nose, causing questions like, "O did you and Brenda get in a fight?" or "Wow, you really should consider a manicure!" lol
And your story about the cat loving the toilet water? I have one cat who EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. "washes" his "hands" in his water bowl. And then he gives me a look like "how'd my hands/feet get wet?" I've come to the conclusion that cats aren't any more weird than their human counterparts. Just as we have our little "ways", so do the cats. Hope you're week's going well.
